How to measure
Follow the measurement labels and instructions in BF Size Charts first. For body measurements, use a soft tape over light clothing, stand naturally, and keep the tape level and comfortably against the body without pulling it tight. Ask someone to help with shoulder and sleeve measurements. Do not add extra allowance unless the guide asks you to.
- Chest: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, under your arms, with your arms relaxed.
- Waist: For the jacket, measure around your natural waist. For trousers, measure where you wear the waistband, following the chart’s specified position.
- Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your seat, keeping the tape level.
- Shoulders: Measure across the back from one shoulder point to the other, following the guide’s endpoints.
- Sleeve length: With your arm slightly bent, measure from the shoulder point to the wrist, using the guide’s method.
- Trouser length: Follow the guide’s method: inseam runs from the crotch to the intended hem; outseam runs from the waistband to the intended hem. Do not substitute one for the other.
If the chart lists finished-garment measurements, compare them with a well-fitting similar garment measured using the same method, not directly with your body measurements.
Cut and adjustments

Share your measurements and any sleeve, jacket or trouser-length concerns so we can confirm which made-to-order adjustments are possible.
